Design

Robloq is an object I created starting from a simple hand-drawn sketch depicting a stylized robot. The initial idea was born from the desire to give tangible form to that small drawing, transforming it into a three-dimensional object unlike any other.

Modeling

After defining the concept on paper, I began the 3D modeling process, aiming to preserve the spirit of the original sketch while refining its proportions and aesthetic details. This phase was essential to find the right balance between design and functionality.

Refining

Once I achieved a satisfactory digital model, I proceeded to print it using a 3D printer. However, the journey toward the final version was not immediate: I made numerous modifications and tests, gradually improving the quality, material strength, and aesthetic finish.

After about nine months of work — including design, testing, and refinements — I finally completed Robloq in its final form: an object that perfectly embodies the fusion of creativity, technology, and a passion for design.

In parallel, I spent an equally long period researching how to connect Robloq to the blockchain world. My goal was to make it truly unique and non-replicable, ensuring authenticity and traceability through digital certification.

For each physical Robloq, I created a Non-Fungible Token (NFT), uniquely linked to its real-world counterpart. Inside every Robloq, I embedded an NFC chip, allowing the authenticity of the object to be verified simply by scanning it with a compatible device.

Each Robloq is also individually numbered under its feet and produced in a very limited edition, emphasizing its exclusivity and collectible nature. This direct connection between the physical object, the chip, and the NFT provides an unfalsifiable proof of ownership and originality, merging art, design, and blockchain technology into a single tangible and digital experience.

Production

Each Robloq figure is born from the perfect blend of pure creativity and high-end craftsmanship. Produced in collaboration with one of the world’s most renowned manufacturers of handcrafted vinyl toys, every Robloq is sculpted, finished, and hand-painted, one by one, by skilled artisans who work with the precision and passion of an artist’s studio.

The production follows the traditional methods of designer collectibles: meticulous sculpting, dedicated molds, and manual painting enhanced by professional detailing techniques. Every color, every shade, and every micro-detail is applied with precision, making each Robloq a unique piece—impossible to replicate as a mass-market toy.

Thanks to the use of high-quality vinyl and premium craftsmanship, Robloq figures are not simple toys; they are miniature art sculptures, designed to stand the test of time and elevate any display, from minimalist setups to the shelves of the most demanding collectors.

Each edition is produced in limited quantities, preserving exclusivity and honoring the philosophy behind designer toys. Owning a Robloq means entering a world where creativity takes physical form and where each piece tells a story through its presence, design, and artisanal execution.

Robloq: you’re not collecting a toy.

You’re collecting a work of art.

Mascot

The Robloq Mascot, standing at an impressive 1.8 meters, is the ultimate physical embodiment of the brand’s iconic character: a monumental art piece that blends striking visual presence with high-end craftsmanship and advanced material techniques.

Internal Structure – CNC-Cut Polystyrene
At its core, the mascot is built from expanded polystyrene, precisely carved using CNC machinery to capture Robloq’s shape with absolute accuracy. This material ensures a lightweight yet solid structure, ideal for large-scale sculptures with defined contours and volume.

Protective Coating – Gelcoat Layer
Once the base form is shaped, it is coated with a layer of gelcoat, a durable thermosetting finish that creates a smooth, uniform surface. This coating provides mechanical resistance, serves as a perfect base for sanding, and ensures a clean, sculptural finish.

Reinforcement – Fiberglass Lamination
To add strength and long-term durability, the sculpture is reinforced with fiberglass, applied by laminating fiber sheets with polyester resin. This composite shell gives the mascot excellent structural integrity while keeping the overall weight manageable.

Hand-Finished Surface
After curing, the fiberglass surface is hand-sanded to refine every curve and detail, eliminating imperfections and preparing the piece for its final finish.

Hand-Painted Artwork
The final stage is a full hand-painted finish, following the official Robloq color palette. Artists apply highlights, shadows, and detailing manually, bringing the character’s personality to life on a monumental scale.

It is an impressive showpiece, ideal for events, exhibitions, studios, and branded environments.

It merges industrial precision (CNC cutting, composite materials) with pure handcrafted artistry—a rare and premium combination.

This is not just a replica: it is a sculptural artwork, built to endure thanks to its reinforced composite structure.

Each mascot is one-of-a-kind: hand sanding and painting ensure subtle, authentic variations that only true artisanal work can create.

Creator

I’ve always been passionate about art and technology, and I find endless inspiration in the intersection between the two. I’m fascinated by how digital innovation can expand the boundaries of traditional creativity, offering new ways to enhance and authenticate artworks. I find it extraordinary to link a physical object to the blockchain world, making it unique and tamper-proof — a bridge between the tangible and the digital that, to me, represents the future of art and intellectual property.
